After designing and implementing the front garden we are in the process of designing the rear garden for this unique site adjoining the River Thames, with the rare benefit of neither towpath nor road between the generous, long garden and the river.

The proposals maximise the potential of this beautiful setting and create a family friendly garden with a space to dine, cook, play and relax near the river. The new garden will retain the existing, rather magical, ‘secret garden’ atmosphere, protect the mature trees to be retained and augment them with a further multi stemmed tree and extensive planting. A swaying pathway will lead through the garden to a river terrace, raised from the current level, allowing improved views and positioned to catch the end of day sun. Existing retaining walls will be kept as much as is viable and sub base and paving reused to make the works as sustainable and low waste as possible.
