Masterplan for the landscape surrounding an Umbrian farmhouse. Six acres of gently sloping olive grove and steeply sloping ‘Bosco’, Holm oak woodland giving way to cliff. The existing olive grove, and numerous productive trees, are set within a currently rather neglected, yet inspiring, landscape with wide ranging views across to a walled hill top town, woodland, cliffs and down to the valleys.
The scheme looks to link the farmhouse to its surroundings and the wider landscape, with improved circulation and access, adding a natural swimming pool, shaded terraces for dining & relaxing and an axial pathway to viewpoint seating. Gravel and mown pathways will be immersed in informal, aromatic, drought tolerant, naturalistic drifts of planting, meadow, existing olive, fruit and nut trees. A partially existing driveway would be screened by evergreen hedging and curve into a generous parking area past randomly scattered Cypress and meadow.
This is an exciting opportunity, updates to follow as work progresses
